Allah called Surah Yusuf the 'Best of All Stories,' which He revealed in the Qu'ran, the best of all Revelations, to the best of all Prophets, our Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. The story was revealed to lift his spirits at a time when his sufferings and worries had mounted. This was a time when he had gone through at least a decade of ridicule and rejection in Makkah, a time when he lost his beloved wife and partner, Khadija, and a time when he had lost his dear uncle, Abu Talib.

The Prophet Yusuf lived thousands of years ago, but time has not diminished his story's relevance.
